Passive Dosimeter Badges

Passive Dosimeter Monitoring is an accepted and reliable environmental monitoring practice that will enable the facility to evaluate employee exposure to hazardous chemicals. Identification and control of toxic chemicals will protect the safety of employees and help comply with the laws and standards of regulatory agencies. CHT® recommends semi-annual testing based on OSHA documen- tation stating that seasonal changes in the air handling system may negate previous testing. Also, JC requires a review of your safety plan twice yearly. CHT recommends that facilities use the most restrictive testing criteria whenever and wherever possi- ble. We also caution that as long as chemicals exist in a department, a monitoring program should continue. If you cease using a chemical, dispose of it properly. If you have several acceptable test results, a representative badge testing program may be selected to meet your program.
